Work that holds up.
The best measure of a software consultancy is what it has actually shipped. These two projects were built for the Government of Alberta and are in active daily use. They illustrate the kind of complex, high-stakes work we take on and the results we deliver.

Adjournment Digital Service
The Challenge.
When COVID-19 placed unprecedented pressure on Alberta’s court system in 2020, in-person court appearances became a public health risk. The Government of Alberta needed a fast, reliable digital solution to dramatically reduce physical foot traffic at courthouses across the province, without disrupting the integrity of the legal process or placing undue burden on Albertans already navigating a difficult time.
There was no existing system to build on. The solution needed to work for the general public, for licensed legal professionals, and for court clerks managing high volumes of requests. It needed to integrate with live government systems. And it needed to be delivered quickly.
The Solution.
Red Rock Group designed and delivered the Adjournment Digital Service (ADS): a two-application platform built using an agile delivery process that kept stakeholders aligned at every stage.
The public-facing application allowed Albertans and their legal representatives to submit adjournment requests online, reducing the need to appear in person. The administration portal gave court clerks the tools to receive, triage, approve, and manage those requests efficiently, replacing a manual, in-person process with a streamlined digital workflow.
The integration work behind ADS was substantial. The platform connects with Alberta police systems, court scheduling infrastructure, and the Alberta Law Society’s professional registry. Every request is automatically validated against live records before it is processed, protecting the integrity of the system without adding manual overhead.
The Outcome.
ADS was delivered within 18 months and became a permanent fixture in Alberta’s justice system. Today, the platform processes more than 20,000 adjournment requests per year, reducing unnecessary court appearances, optimizing clerk workloads, and delivering a meaningfully better experience for Albertans dealing with the legal system during an already stressful period.

Digital Meeting Experience
The Challenge.
Cabinet meetings at the highest levels of government involve documentation that is sensitive by definition: policy decisions, confidential briefings, and materials that, if exposed prematurely, carry serious consequences for government operations and public trust.
Prior to the Digital Meeting Experience, the Government of Alberta was experiencing a recurring pattern of document leaks connected to cabinet meeting materials. The challenge was not simply technical: it required a fundamental rethinking of how sensitive documentation was handled, distributed, and accessed at every point in the lifecycle.
The Solution.
Red Rock Group designed and built the Digital Meeting Experience (DMX): a modernization initiative that replaced existing processes with a purpose-built, security-first platform for building, managing, and distributing cabinet meeting materials.
DMX was delivered as two applications. The Admin application gives authorized users the ability to construct full meeting agendas, attach relevant documentation to individual agenda items, and manage users and access permissions, with complete control over what is distributed and to whom. The Viewer application gives cabinet officials access to their meeting materials in a clean, focused interface, with full offline capability so that materials can be accessed without an active network connection and without requiring a native mobile application.
The security architecture of DMX is its defining feature. Documents are encrypted at the point of upload and remain encrypted at rest on the server at all times. Decryption occurs only at the moment an authorized user downloads materials, entirely within their local browser environment. Sensitive content is never transmitted unencrypted. It is never stored unencrypted. The design eliminates the entire class of vulnerabilities that had previously resulted in leaks.
The Outcome.
Since the deployment of DMX, the Government of Alberta has recorded zero information leaks related to cabinet documentation.
The platform is used daily by the Premier of Alberta and senior cabinet officials across the province. It has become a mission-critical system within the Government of Alberta’s technology infrastructure, reflecting both the reliability of the platform and the trust placed in Red Rock Group to build something that could not afford to fail.
